Hydrogen absorption and desorption thermodynamics characteristics of ZrTiV

  • The intermetallic compound ZrTiV is prepared and its suitability for hydrogen storage is investigated. The pressure-composition-temperature (PCT) curves and the relation between equilibrium pressure and temperature of hydrogen absorption and desorption for ZrTiV alloy are measured at 373, 473, 573, and 673K. Equilibrium pressure of the absorption and desorption at different temperature of ZrTiV alloy are given and then the thermodynamic parameters and the hydrogen absorption capacity are calculated according to Van’t Hoff equation.
