  • Among the possibilities to process fuel available to power fuel cells, we found a large number of applicable fuel. In this paper we examine the case for a flow of natural gas with steam to be reformed. The two key factors that will probably lead the design process will be the fuel to treat and the requirements imposed on the output current by the fuel cell, in this case a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEM).
It was used the simulator HYSYS 3.0.1, which allows us to obtain for a given food and the necessary parameters, the values of the outflows for the steady state of the system.
The results show the need for a hydrogen purification system to get the same concentrations that can be used by the stack
