BC Transit Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus Fleet
BC Transit is a Crown Corporation of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, with headquarters in Victoria, B.C. It is responsible for the delivery of transit services in the Province outside the Greater Vancouver area. Its mandate includes planning, funding, marketing, constructing and operating the Victoria Regional Transit System and local transit systems in communities throughout the province. It owns over 850 buses of various types.
BC Transit is procuring 20 hydrogen fuel cell buses and associated fuel and maintenance infrastructure with the goal to place them into regular transit service at Whistler, British Columbia. They will also be showcased during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
